Encaustic Artwork Shipping Policy

High-quality packaging is a precise process; if custom wooden crates are required for large-scale works, we will contact you with an updated timeline.

To ensure your artwork does not sit in unconditioned carrier warehouses or trucks over the weekend, we exclusively ship on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The wax surface is first wrapped in archival glassine or wax paper. Plastic or bubble wrap is never allowed to touch the wax directly, as it can leave permanent imprints.

We use foam board on all six sides of the inner box to insulate the work against temperature fluctuations.

Artwork is "floated" within a double-box system or custom crate with at least 2 inches of cushioning to protect against mechanical shock.

 Shipping Methods & Carriers

Standard Shipping: For most works, we use UPS or FedEx (Ground or 3-Day) to ensure reliable tracking and handling. On occassion we use private carriers who specialize in transporting large scale encaustic artwork.

You will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched.

Insurance & Damage Claims

All shipments are insured for their full replacement value.

While extremely rare, if your package arrives damaged, please take clear photos of the outer box and the artwork before unwrapping further. Notify us within 7 days of delivery to initiate an insurance claim.

Receiving Your Artwork

Once your art arrives, let the box sit at room temperature to acclimate for at least 4 hours before opening. This allows the wax to stabilize to your home's climate.

Signature Required: For security, all original artwork requires a signature upon delivery.
